Welcome To my web site!
If I can do it, you can do it too!
Creede pictures are at the top of this page.
Cuba Pictures are in the middle.
Telescopes are at the bottom.
This is Creede after the fire that burned the bank and other shops.
The red on the street is cinder that was used to give traction on the ice that formed in the sub-zero weather.

The Ghost Ranch Telescope project.
The telescopes at the Ghost Ranch Piedra Lumbre museum, are in need of serious repair or replacement. They were focused on the different geological features representing the various eras in the evolution of the earth. Time and weather have taken their toll. I have taken on the task of rebuilding these telescopes to usability and restoring the functionality of the display.
The scopes were originally used on antiaircraft gun directors used during WWII, which makes them over 60 years old.
Some folks are under the mistaken impression that these scopes were mounted directly on various guns. However with the recoil of these guns, it would be like being slammed into a brick wall while trying to look through binoculars.
Before I started this project I barely understood what a focal point was. Today I can design you a scope to suit your needs, weather terrestrial or celestial. Or I can advise you what to look for in a telescope or binoculars.
The gold ones are finished and the others are at different stages of completion.
Cost to date $500.
7/11 Scopes are done. Lost track of cost.
Was worth it for the experience.
